Nowadays, the products of water purifiers are uneven, and consumers are also confused about the two types of water purifiers: "electricity" and "no electricity". So, is the water purifier better to buy electricity or not to use electricity?
In fact, as a small household appliance, a water purifier is still very different from major appliances such as refrigerators and air conditioners. Water purifiers do not rely on high-power compressors like refrigerator air conditioners. The core component of the water purifier, the filter element, does not use electricity when it is working. The parts of the water purifier that need electricity are only computer control chips and indicator lights, and the power consumption is extremely low.
The representative of water purifiers that require electricity is RO reverse osmosis water purifiers. This type of water purifier needs electricity in the water purification process to produce high-purity water, and this type of electric water purifier has a high filtration accuracy. Among them, "electricity" also plays an active role. For example, the pore size of the RO reverse osmosis membrane is only 0.0001 microns, and the water pressure of the tap water cannot push the water, so an electric booster pump is needed to increase the pressure of the tap water to allow water molecules to pass through the RO membrane to achieve the purpose of purification.
Electric water purifiers cannot work after a power failure and will produce waste water. The maintenance cost in the later period is definitely higher than that of a non-electric water purifier. Unplugged water purifiers are generally ultrafiltration water purifiers. Ultrafiltration water purifiers generally have a filtration accuracy of 0.01 microns, which can filter out large particles of impurities, bacteria and viruses. Since this kind of non-electric water purifier is filtered by the water's own pressure, the filtering accuracy will not be very high, but the filtering capacity will be relatively large. However, there is no waste water produced without an electric water purifier, the filtering capacity is relatively large, the filter element has a long life, the price is cheap, and the subsequent maintenance cost is also low.
Electric water purifiers and non-electric water purifiers have their own advantages and disadvantages. Household users can decide according to their local water quality, purchase budget and actual water demand.
