How to determine when the CTO filter needs to be replaced?

Determining when to replace a CTO filter is an important task to ensure the continued efficient operation of your water treatment system. During this process, multiple factors need to be considered comprehensively to ensure timely replacement of the filter element and to ensure excellent water quality.
When the CTO filter is overused or contaminated, blockage may cause water flow to slow down. This not only affects the user's water experience, but may also put pressure on subsequent water treatment equipment. Therefore, paying attention to changes in water flow is one of the important indicators for timely replacement of filter elements.
Conducting water testing is one way to ensure that water quality meets standards. Testing the water for chlorine, odors and organic matter, as well as other possible contaminants, helps evaluate the performance of CTO filters. If the test results show that the water quality does not meet requirements, it may be time to replace the filter element.
Regularly checking water pressure is also an important detection method. When the filter becomes clogged, water pressure may drop to abnormal levels. By monitoring changes in water pressure, problems with the filter element can be detected early and corresponding maintenance measures can be taken.
At the same time, paying attention to the deterioration of water smell is also one of the ways to judge the condition of the filter element. If the water smell becomes more unacceptable, it may mean that the CTO filter cannot effectively remove the odor and needs to be replaced. Checking the filter element for obvious dirt or color changes is also an important factor in determining when to replace it. If dirt accumulates on the surface of the filter element, or the color changes, this may indicate that the filter element is saturated and has lost its filtering effect.
